Ménage à Gahhhhhhhhh

From Brad Warthen’s Blog at The State:

Kids have Christmas, and Lindsey Graham had his recent road trip with John McCain and Joe Lieberman to Iraq, the Mideast and Europe.

Kids, you can watch the interview with Lindseypoo at the link above, but I would never subject you to that. Scroll down, and we’ll just read the transcript (and there will be a bonus movie poster, too!).

Original DVD cover.

From Think Progress:

During a recent interview, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) called Sens. John McCain (R-AZ) and Joe Lieberman (I-CT) “something special,” recounting their recent trip abroad

…snip…

GRAHAM: Senator Lieberman, I think, is a national treasure, because no matter how you feel about his politics, he was willing to risk everything, politically, for a cause he believed in. But to see the interaction between these two guys and world leaders was something special. […]

I think Lindseypoo is in love! I wonder what wrench this will throw into the McLiebercain romance.

Anything else, Lindseypoo?

I think John McCain will be a reassuring presence to the world. … It really was a smile on people’s faces, knowing that if this guy got to be president, I think we could do business with him. … I think he’s a reassuring presence. Doesn’t mean that they prefer John over Obama or Senator Clinton, but there’s a level of comfort there. […]

Q: But some probably do prefer him, don’t they?

GRAHAM: Oh, I would think, but no one told us. No one had a McCain sticker on their desk.

Tip of the hat to my buddy, nightowl! 😉
Oh, and kids, be very grateful. This is the movie poster I was seriously thinking of using.

    hi dummidumbwit!
    welcome to the raisin! 😀
the stooges can join us in rolling above ground. by the way, this is not the first time i have called upon the stooges to make a point. so far, they have not come to haunt my dreams.

  3. nightowl724

Funny, nonnie! The facial expressions on these posters are perfect. Bush Baby looks ready to lay a big one right on Captain Underpants’ sleeve!

As he runs for re-election this year, Lindseypoo is hoping that McLieberBush will return his love as Bush does in this campaign video:

On September 20, 2007, Sens. Joe Lieberman, Jon Kyl, Norman Coleman, and Lindsey Graham filed a “Sense of the Senate” resolution as Amendment No. 3017 to the FY 2008 Defense Authorization bill “that the U.S. should ‘combat, contain, and roll back’ Iran’s ‘violent activities and destabilizing influence inside Iraq.’ It counsels doing so ‘through the prudent and calibrated use of all instruments of [U.S. power], including diplomatic, economic, intelligence, and military instruments.’ It also urges the administration to designate the Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization.

In September 2006, Graham drew attention when he joined with fellow Republicans John Warner (R-Va.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) to oppose legislation backed by the Bush Administration that would have given the government wide freedoms in the treatment, interrogation and prosecution of terror detainees. In addition, the legislation would have included a reinterpretation of the U.S. duties under the Geneva convention. The three senators proposed their own, more moderate legislation dealing with the same issue.

On September 21, the three dissenting senators reached a compromise with the White House which included many of the provisions from the administration’s initial bill, but eliminated the use of secret evidence unavailable to the defense during terror trials and any explicit reinterpretation of the Geneva Convention.

Quoting The Church Lady, “Well, now, isn’t that special?

PS I am VERY grateful you didn’t use that “other” poster!

  4. nonnie9999

    nightowl,
chimpy might as well poop on capt u’s sleeve. he already peed on his shirt.
i figured everyone would be grateful for my decision not to use that poster. that said, there is something very homoerotic going on with all those guys. for all their bashing of the notion of gay marriage, they travel together, hang out together, and get starry-eyed when they talk about each other. you have to wonder what is going on in the cloakroom.

  5. nightowl724

    Yeah, and they’re so, so… “loony/moony eyed.”

    Creepy.

    Hey, Nonnie, Nonnie, Nonnie!

Just stopped by to salute you. I miss running into you ever since I bid adieu to that Orange-tinted site where we used to have a real community.

I’m glad to see you are up to your old tricks and using your estimable skills to skewer Republicans, a concept that has become all too quaint in the netroots.

As for the Three Stooges, your poster says it all! Lieberman has become McCain’s minder, in much the same way that Cheney tends to Junior. Lordy, I can’t wait until November!

  7. nonnie9999

    radiowalla!!!! 😀
i am so thrilled to see you here! i was thinking about you today. i spend very little time at that orange place nowadays. there is very little to read over there that is of any value. i refuse to join in the bashing, and i won’t bring it here. it’s not my job to knock our side down. i will leave that to others. besides, it is too much fun swiping at cheney, chimpy, mcbush, and their cohorts.
i hope you will visit often, radiowalla! mmmwwaaahhhhh!! you made my day! 🙂

  8. dummidumbwit

Hello, Hello, Hello!!! (Remember that one?)

  9. Radiowalla

Nonnie, thanks for the kind greeting. You’re the best!

  10. nonnie9999

    dummidumbwit,
being a female, i am not a stooges fan. of course, i have seen them often, but i made a conscious attempt to not commit any of it to memory. 😉 well, okay, i can nyuk, nyuk, nyuk with the best of them! 😀

  11. nonnie9999

    oh, radiowalla,
no thanks necessary or expected. i am just so happy to see you here! 😀

  12. dummidumbwit

OK, then visualize them on the steps of the WH when W endorsed Mac and think dumb and dumber?

  13. nonnie9999

😆 the only problem is that chimpy looked far dumber than the stooges ever did!

  14. TRM

  20. dummidumbwit

I suspect “Qualludes” and SOCO, by the way?

  21. nonnie9999

maybe we need a cocktail hour here at the raisin! 🙂

  22. The Stooges are a study of the body politic. Larry is the typical voter kind of airhead and self centered. Curley (Jerome) is the perfect liberal all wacky and impulsive. I am a Jeromist, having studies his works extensively as a child. All repubs want to be Moe. Just look at their rallies, thousands of Moes wandering around aimlessly each wanting to be the supreme Ultimate Moe. Better save the “other” poster for John Boner.
