Princess Sarah and the Horse$hit Whisperer

From CNN’s Jack Cafferty
There is a reason the McCain campaign keeps Governor Sarah Palin away from the press.

This is a direct excerpt from Katie Couric’s One-On-One interview with Sarah Palin, which aired Wednesday on CBS.

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries? … Instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: Ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health care reform that is needed to help shore up the economy– Oh, it’s got to be about job creation too. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions.

If McCain wins, this woman will be a 72-year-old heartbeat away from being president of the United States.

Original DVD cover.

From The Huffington Post:

Jack Cafferty unloaded on Sarah Palin’s “disastrous” interview with Katie Couric Friday afternoon on CNN, telling Wolf Blitzer, “There’s a reason the McCain campaign keeps Governor Palin away from the press.”

After showing a clip of Palin stumbling over Couric’s question about the bailout and offering an answer connecting the bailout to healthcare, Cafferty asked, “Did you get that?”

He warned the viewers: “If John McCain wins this woman will be one 72-year-old’s heartbeat away from being President of the United States. And if that doesn’t scare the hell out of you, it should.”

You can watch the video at HuffPo.

In other news:

There was some kind of debate last night, and Captain Underpants told war stories and said Horse$hit twice on national TV. Call the FCC!!

Joe Biden was all over the tube after the debate, but Princess Sarah was conspicuously absent. When Wolf Blitzer said that he would like to have her on the show for an interview, Anderson Cooper replied, “Don’t hold your breath on that one.” The same sentiments were expressed on MSNBC.

According to the Associated Press (whom I no longer quote, because they are doody-heads), Barack Obama and Joe Biden will be at rallies in Greensboro, N.C., and Fredericksburg, Va. tomorrow. Captain Underpants will be in Warshington, and Princess Sarah has no public schedule.

Cindy Lou McCain has to stop curling her hair. Instead of looking younger, she is starting to resemble Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, and it’s really creeping me out.

  1. dcup

You kill me. Especially that last bit about Cindy Lou.

  2. You devious raisins…

HuffPo, CNN, Couric, yeah, all bastions of “un-biased reporting” puhlease

Couric never once referred to Gov Palin as Gov…

Why doesn’t the outstanding Gov. Palin bother to talk to the socialist commie media? read

I love you ladies but c’mon, do you honeslty believe the crap from HuffPo and CNN? Couric is a commie hack…

  3. silly dcup,
i have a hit list and a $hit list, and you aren’t on either. i don’t want to kill you! 🙂
i didn’t want to get that graphic about cindy lou, but someone had to say it. it’s for her sake, as well as everyone else’s.

  4. trm,
continue to delude yourself as much as you want. palin is an imbecile. no matter who does the questioning, if you are smart, your answers will prove it. you know damned well that it’s not just what you call the “liberal press” who have pointed out that palin is totally unqualified, but a lot of conservative writers as well.

  5. Oooh! Oooh! Your beyond brilliant (and hilarious) post drew in one of the very desperate trolls. They have been out in force for the past 2 weeks, pasting links to propaganda and bull$hit that they actually think will sway our entire philosophies that we’ve worked a lifetime to achieve. Of course, we came to our decisions via education, reading and intellectual discourse. They don’t realize that you can’t just copy ‘n’ past a URL of some complete idiot’s retarded take on any given subject and actually get results.

They are, in short, spammers. End of rant.

    Wonderful work as always, nonnie.

Frighteningly, Nora Ephron said on HuffPo today she thinks McLame won the debate because she liked Cindy’s hair. OR something to that effect. No, I’m not kidding.

  6. Oh and it’s obvious with those two revelations that “Buffoon” (aptly named) posted, the entire direction of the election will be forever altered.

  7. helenwheels,
buffoon a/k/a trm has been hanging around here for a long time. he watches faux news and listens to rush limpdick way too much, but there is a tiny logical and rational part of his brain that continues to bring him here for an intellectual (though elitist) breath of fresh air. he also likes when we hug him. he’s not a spammer.
i just went over and read what ephron had to say. i’m not buying it. a lot of people really have no idea that capt u had one drama queen moment after another this week, so the game of low expectations didn’t work. those who had not paid attention up until the debate saw a petulant, nasty old man who would not or could not even look at his opponent. it was weird. though i don’t think obama’s performance was stellar, he looked calm and even-tempered. if the test is who people would rather deal with other heads of state or those in the legislature with whom deals have to be made, i think obama is the person they would choose.

I just wanted you to know that HelenWheels meant that in only the very nicest way! 🙂

  9. nightowl724

    Kudos, nonnie. Palin does purple…

Her response to Couric’s question and your lovely poster reminds me of that wonderful book Harold and the Purple Crayon. That’s a classic even Bush could comprehend, right up there with The Pet Goat on his bedtime bookshelf.

Anyway, Palin’s answer sort of wandered randomly all over the place. However, Harold eventually did get somewhere with all his meanderings…

  10. d’oh! thanks for the reminder, nightowl.

trm, when i said you were delusional, i meant it in the very nicest way! 😀

  11. jeb

I saw the Letterman rant’s on being stood up by CU. CU called him and told Letterman he couldn’t appear as scheduled because the economy was cratering and he had to suspend his campaing. Then Letterman found out that instead of rushing off to DC, CU stopped off to do Couric instead. Letterman spent a lot of time over two shows ranting about it. You can see them both here.

One of the best parts of the rant was when Letterman was addressing the whole suspended campaign thing and said “He can’t run the campaign because the economy is cratering? Fine, putin your second string quarterback, Sara Palin. Where is she?”

    RIP Paul Newman

  12. jeb,
one of the biggest mistakes that capt u made was pissing off david letterman. how stupid was he to lie about something that is so easily disproven? i love that dave is not letting it go. he’s like a dog with a bone, and he has a huge audience–much larger than cnn, msnbc, and faux put together. then again, maybe i’m biased, because i have had a crush on david letterman for ages.
i was sad to hear that paul newman had died, but, oh what a life he lived. he was a good man.

  13. Oh I apologize if I inadvertently insulted one of your regulars!

I absolutely adored Paul Newman. And while I don’t usually care about famous people, this is a huge loss. The guy was just awesome and beautiful, inside and out. SIGH.

  14. no worries, helenwheels. just give trm a hug, and he’s happy. we think his misguided political sensibilities stem from not being loved when he was a child.

  15. jeb

Nonnie, I have a friend who absolutely agrees with you and he says this is the end for CU. He’s convinced that everyone that sees Letterman will realize what slugs CU and the Princess are and that will be it.

On another front, I just heard that my sister was debating my Dad (as she always does) and she told him that all of the problems we’re having in Afghanistan and Pakistan are the fault of the deciderer and his stupid invasion of Iraq. Shockingly, my Dad, the hardcore Bu$h/Vader supporter conceded that she was right. The tables are turning.

  16. jeb,
your friend must be absolutely brilliant! 😉
omg! can you even imagine what would happen if princess showed up on letterman’s show? 😯 he would make moosemeat out of her! i would pay anything to see that! 😆

  17. jeb

Do you think Dave would be tougher on her than $hit Banality was on Fux news? Did you see the TDS take on that. Too Funny!!!

  18. nightowl724

jeb, I missed that episode of TDS somehow. That was hysterical! Thanks. Oh – and do you think SP knows the difference between verbiage and verbage having been a communications major and all?

  19. i remember that, jeb. it was hilarious. palin’s war on verbiage…. 😳 ….i mean verbage! good thing that sean insanity isn’t a dirty commie like that damned katie couric!

  20. nightowl724

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin again:

  21. I think Buffoon’s name is truth in advertising.

  22. nightowl724

Huge (by AK standards) anti-Palin rally on Saturday.

Love this sign: “Hey, Sarah! I can see the end of your political career from my house!”

  23. thanks, nightowl!
i don’t watch snl, but i tuned in tonight in hopes that they would do another princess sarah skit. unfortunately, i only remembered to turn it on 6 minutes after it started. i sat through the dismal show and missed the only good part! tina fey rocks, but i cannot stand amy poehler.

  24. now, now, neon vincent. don’t be mean to trm/buffoon. he’s like our little pet.

  25. nightowl,
this is how dictionary dotcom defines it:

A deliberate misspelling and mispronunciation of verbiage that assimilates it to the word “garbage”. Compare content-free. More pejorative than “verbiage”.

princess sarah called what capt underpants said garbage! 😆

  26. jeb

Thanks for the link Nightowl. I’d been wanting to see this and hadn’t found it. Unfortunately for our country, the SNL writers really didn’t have to do any work to come up with the material for this skit because Palin really is that dumb.

  27. jeb

Oh, I love the sign that calls her Palinnochio. That’s good.

  28. first of all — cindy lou as baby jane — priceless. does that mean laura is blanche hudson — what a minute, laura would have to be baby jane since she rammed the car into blanche….

nonnie you never cease to amaze me. we gotta collaborate on an entire script (as soon as i stop being so busy at work)

as for the couric/palin interview — that will go down as one of the low marks in the history of american politics. katie was deferential and relatively easy on her — there were no suprises. palin looked like she was on LSD. can someone be that incoherent.

  29. jlms qkw - jenn

cindy lou should be jealous. between ms. palin and that lady von rothschild, i think ms. cindy lou has some competition. heh.

  30. Buffoon- the name sums him up.
As for this Palin situation, as much as I’d love the four years of hilarity an imbecile like her would provide, it’s time to put country first.
The so-called liberal media (which anyone knows is owned by arch conservatives like GE)hasn’t done enough to expose Palin and McCain as the slimeballs they are. Ask any Indian casino pit boss about McCain’s gambling excesses & conflicts of interest.
And I really am resisting the urge to put Buffoon in his place but he’s too much like gum on my shoe- easily scraped off and discarded.

  31. nonnie

i have a new one up. your opinion is always important

  32. Thank non and night owl for vouching for me…

I know we are seldom going to agree on anything, but good natured back and forth is healthy I believe…

One thing I think we will agree on, this bailout is the biggest rip off ever! I mean does anyone here actually think it was legitimate to provide the criminal organization ACORN with more tax payer money via a bail out?

Another thing, I know Nonnie does her paraody’s with a good natured intent… the plain old spite directed at her is ridiculous……. as women I would think you would be a little more supportive,,,

Will any one hear at least admit Obama is a Marxist and wants to take the country in the direction of communism?

at least admitting it would gain respect with me,,, not that any of you care LOL

I use the name Buffoon because I have a sense of humor and no one should take themselves too seriously…

Now all of you, VOTE MCCAIN LOL LOL LOL

  33. nightowl724

princess sarah called what capt underpants said garbage! For once, she was right!

  34. nightowl724

    You’re welcome!

The bailout is bull$hit, pure and simple – from BOTH parties. I’m up to my beak in a project this week, so I can’t go find out about your reference to ACORN and the bailout. Can you post a link?

Palin deserves my scorn. Just because she is a woman, doesn’t mean she’s not contemptible. I didn’t favor HRC, either, for the same reason.

I will not grant you that Obama is a Markist or Communist, just because he doesn’t believe that every function in government should be privatized and self-regulatory. Look where THAT got us! However, I believe the latest shenanigans on Wall Street prove my worries that Bush and half of Congress are Fascists!

BIMTITNWOC! (But, I mean that in the nicest way, of course!) 😀

  35. jeb,
if snl had just used only princess’s words in a skit, someone who had not seen the interview would have said it wasn’t funny, because it was too over the top.

  36. dcAp,
everyone should rush right over to your place to read your latest! you have outdone yourself!
i would love to collaborate with you, but shouldn’t you buy me dinner first? maybe you can send me a coupon for arby’s or something. 😉
if princess isn’t on drugs, perhaps she should be.

  37. jenn,
cindy lou is used to being the center of attention. that’s why she clings to the delusion that she was an only child.

  38. trm,
i will simply say that you are welcome. i won’t comment on the rest of your reply, as there is little there worth responding to. i hope you see the new post that’s up. it’s all about that damned liberal media you hate so! 😉

  39. damnit! I thought I had you for a minute nonnie..
    I’ll try again another day…. 🙂

For Night Owl looking for references, my site is littered with Obama’s connections to FM & FM corruption and his long long long association with ACORN,,, thankfully house Republicans were able to get the ACORN slush fund out of the bailout bill which is still horrendous.. I’m glad we agree on that 🙂 see, all us right wing war mongers aren’t that bad…

Look forward to hearing more about the alternatives to the bailout as it stands, where loans are made instead of “gifts”

while you may not agree with the strategy Dick Morris is sharing, his article touches on better plans of action than the one being pursued now regarding the bailout..

Now leave Gov Palin alone or I’m telling….
