PolitiFact readers overwhelming chose Sarah Palin’s claim that the health care bill contains “death panels” as Lie of the Year. A resounding 61 percent of our 4,864 voters picked death panels as the top lie. No other finalist in the field of eight statements came close.
Here are the runners-up:
• With 12.3 percent of the vote, a claim by conservative talk show host Glenn Beck that John Holdren, President Barack Obama’s top science adviser, “has proposed forcing abortions and putting sterilants in the drinking water to control population.”
• With 8.7 percent of the vote, a claim by Orly Taitz that a birth certificate showed that President Obama was born in Kenya.
Can we have a round of applause for the top 3?

So, the winners are in with the Wasilla White Trash Queen leading the pack. No big surprise there. Michele Bachmann’s just gonna have to work harder this year in order to place in the top three.
poor batshit got distracted with all those rallies she organized on the steps of the capitol. that cut into her lying time.
It is hard to top that lie, for both how outrageous it was and how much it was repeated.
what’s ironic is that is wasn’t even her lie originally. she stole it from betsy mccaughey. once again, she gets credit for something somebody else actually did.
Palin the Plagerizer
she’s never had an original thought. she reads the talking points and adopts them as though they were her ideas. it highlights her laziness and lack of intellectual heft.
Considering the quantity and quality of lies this year, that she was able to crush her opposition this handily says something, and it isn’t good.
Now I’m wondering how a Palinocchio photoshop would look.
