You take the good, you take the bad…

Just kidding, there’s nothing good here, just the alternative…

Wanted to introduce a couple of new hires in Twitler/President Bannon’s world who will fit right in with Kellyanne Alternative Facts Conway, Sean Shitstain Spicer and three-time-loser of The Apprentice Omarosa Manigault (I thought Tangerine Tyrant didn’t like losers).

By the way, do you like the way everyone is dressed?

Anyhoo, like I said, there are a couple of new kids whose heads should be on the chopping block. First up, Julia Hahn. From SALON:

White House strategist Steve Bannon, who was best known as executive chair of Breitbart News before becoming CEO of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, has now hired one of House Speaker Paul Ryan’s personal trolls as a White House staffer.

Right-wing commentator Julia Hahn, who will serve as an aide to Bannon as he fulfills his role of White House strategist, has accused Ryan of fleeing “grieving moms trying to show him photos of their children killed by his open borders agenda” and claimed that he was secretly leading a “months-long campaign to elect Hillary Clinton,” according to The Washington Post on Monday.

“She’ll be Bannon’s Bannon and make Bannon look moderate,” said conservative writer and editor at large of the Weekly Standard William Kristol when talking to The Post. “Her tendency is to fight and fight, often to the extreme.”

“This is obviously a provocative act and clearly an intentional act,” said Peter Wehner, an official who has worked for three Republican presidents and is a personal friend of Ryan’s. “Bannon is willing to napalm the bridges with congressional Republicans.”

Steve Bannon’s tenure at Breitbart was marred by the site’s increasingly racist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, anti-LGBT, and anti-Islamic tone. Trump’s decision to give Bannon a key White House role has led many to fear that the white nationalist movement known as the alt right will have dangerous sway under his presidency.

Next up, kids, is Sebastian Gorka. From Think Progress:

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA — A Virginia judge on Friday dismissed a gun charge against White House national security adviser Sebastian Gorka, finding that the former Breitbart editor met the terms of his plea deal.

Judge William T. Newman Jr. said he was dismissing the charge given that Gorka met the required six months of good behavior after his August plea deal. Gorka was arrested Jan. 31, 2016 for bringing a handgun through security at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington and faced up to 12 months in jail and a fine of $2,500 for the class one misdemeanor.

When asked how the charges would affect Gorka’s security clearance, [his attorney Chris] Oprison pointed out that Gorka is still on Trump’s National Security Council. Several security clearance experts told ThinkProgress before the dismissal that Gorka’s misdemeanor charge would not necessarily affect his clearance.

The gun charge is not the only misdemeanor on Gorka’s record. On Feb. 19, 2016, just a few weeks after the gun charge, Gorka was arrested in Spotsylvania County, Virginia for reckless driving.

According to court records, Gorka has previously been arrested for reckless driving at least one other time in Fairfax County, Virginia in September 2014.

He seems nice!

But that’s all personal stuff, what about policy stuff? From TALKING POINTS MEMO:

A senior White House aide refused to confirm that President Donald Trump believes that Islam is a religion in a Friday NPR interview.

Sebastian Gorka, a former Breitbart national security editor who left his post as a Fox New contributor to become a deputy assistant to Trump, first evaded the question and then said he couldn’t speak for the President.

Gorka said that the press paid insufficient attention to two speeches Trump gave on the campaign about “radical Islamic terrorism” and that the addresses “tell you everything you need to know.”

“What is the phrase he uses again and again? It’s not Islam,” Gorka said. “It’s not a discussion about Islam as a religion or not a religion; it’s about radical Islamic terrorism.[…]”.

“Forgive me, I understand what you’re saying, but does the President believe that Islam is a religion?” [Steve] Inskeep pressed.

“I think you should ask him that question,” Gorka replied. “I’m not a spokesperson for the President. I’m a deputy assistant to him. But I would say that’s a misreading of everything he said in the last 18 months.”

Gorka was a paid policy consultant to the Trump campaign who officially joined the administration in January.

That’s about it, kids, except for one thing. I’m calling on all atheists to pray for the non-existent victims of the Bowling Green Massacre that never happened.

  1. Donald Watson

I’m praying for the victims of the Bowling Greens Massacre, and praying to my Atheist Lord That Kellyanne Conway Is one of them.

    • Yay!!!! You commented over here, Don!

I say amen to your prayers for the nonexistent victims of that horrible massacre that never took place. Ever again!!

  2. Friend of the court

We must never forget the 711 victims, and the litter they left behind. It’s, almost enough to make me see the light, and become Christenized , to be able to believe that these varmits will end up in lying hell, almost.

    • Were there victims at the 7-11? I hadn’t heard that. I thought all the carnage was limited to the garden supply department at KMart, and that’s the reason the retail giant is failing so badly. Fake massacres are bad for the economy. Ever forget!

  3. Nonnie, the only upside to all of this is your recent flurry of brilliant posts. Thank you for a laugh while contemplating the horror.

  4. Oh dear. I’m gonna need more wine.
