The Turtle and the Hair

Hey, kids, remember how quiet Yertle McConnell has been when it comes to all the shit spewing out of Hair Furor’s mouth and President Steve Bannon’s pen? Well, I guess the honeymoon is finally over. A straw finally broke the elephant’s back.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he doesn’t view Russian President Vladimir Putin in the same way that President Trump does.

During an interview on CNN’s State of the Union, the Kentucky Republican called Putin a “thug” and former KGB agent who was not elected in a way most would consider “a credible election.” Putin also invaded the sovereign nation of Ukraine and “messed around in our elections,” said McConnell.

“I don’t think there’s any equivalency to the way the Russians conduct themselves and the way the United States does,” said McConnell.

McConnell responded to Trump’s earlier comments. When Fox News host Bill O’Reilly asked Trump about allegations that Putin is “a killer” who targets his political enemies, Trump replied: “We got a lot of killers. You think our country’s so innocent?”

There are currently two U.S. congressional panels looking into alleged ties between Russia and the Trump campaign as part of broader probes into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. Intelligence agencies have already made clear their conclusions that Russia tried to interfere in the election, initially to undermine faith in the democratic process and later to help elect Trump. Separately, CNN reported last month that the FBI is investigating whether Putin has compromising information on Trump after intelligence officials briefed both Trump and then-President Barack Obama on the allegations.

Also on Sunday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called for a probe into potential Russian blackmail of Trump. “I want to know what the Russians have on Donald Trump,” the California Democrat said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

  1. One would need to be totally stupid to believe that Trump won the election without Putin’s help. With every breath he takes, I mean word he says, T. gives himself away by defending all things Putin. I’m waiting for the other shoe to fall and I hope it falls fast.

On another note. I read once upon a time that, according to T, Nixon encouraged him to run for president some day. I wonder if that is actually true. If so that old saying of “it takes one to know one” rings true with Nixon and T. Both excellent liars and crooks.

    • You don’t even have to go by what he says. Look at the people he surrounds himself with. That’s not coincidental.

Carl Bernstein, one of the reporters who took down Nixon said that Trumpelthinskin is wayyyyyy more dishonest than Tricky Dick. That’s setting the bar awfully high.

      • Wow!!! If Bernstein said that, he knows what he’s talking about. I’m not very smart but I have thought the same thing. I think T. is slicker than a barrel of eels and lies like a hibernating bed of snakes. But who is watching the fox, that’s watching the hen house?

        • Twitler is elusive, but not because he’s smart. He has spent his life depending on others bailing him out while he makes believe he is a success. He has too much scrutiny now, and I think he will crumble under the pressure. How can President Bannon push through his agenda when all his spokespeople have to spend their time backpedaling on everything he says or tweets?

  2. the loony tic

mcturtle is fearful that twitler is close to revealing that mcturtle is one of america’s thugs. but he need not worry because apparently america is capable of re-electing henchmen now.

    • You have to wonder what the Russians learned when they hacked the RNC (I’ll never buy the bullshit that their system was secure) and why all the Rethugs fall in line behind someone they hate.I know that a lot of his agenda is their agenda, but are they really doing themselves any favors when they ignore the shit that he says or tweets?

  3. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
