Surely You Jest
From MEDIAITE:
Harvard Law Emeritus Alan Dershowitz fawned over President Donald Trump having powers “that kings have never had” as he dismissed the news that Don McGahn must testify before Congress.
Strange things are afoot at the Circle-Ukraine
From Vox:
Ed MacMahon, a lawyer for Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas, who faces charges of campaign finance violations, has told the Daily Beast that his client helped Republican Rep. Devin Nunes arrange meetings meant to advance the Ukrainian investigations into the Biden family that are at the center of the ongoing impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.
Now, another lawyer for Parnas — Joseph A. Bondy — has told CNN that Parnas is willing to testify before the House Intelligence Committee about Nunes’s involvement in the Ukraine scandal.
End of the Road?
From DAILY BEAST:
During the first break in Wednesday’s impeachment hearings—which featured U.S. Ambassador to the EU and million-dollar Trump donor Gordon Sondland implicating President Donald Trump in a quid pro quo with Ukraine—Fox News anchor Chris Wallace declared that Sondland “took out the bus and ran it over” President Donald Trump and a number of his allies and aides.
“I think what Gordon Sondland was trying to do here is protect himself more than he is to protect anybody else,” Wallace said during Fox News’ special coverage.
“To a certain degree, he took out the bus and ran over President Trump, Vice President Pence, Mike Pompeo, John Bolton, Rudy Giuliani, Mick Mulvaney,” he added. “He implicates all of them.”

Better Call Saul…I mean John
From Law.com:
John Eisenberg, the top lawyer for the National Security Council and a former Kirkland & Ellis partner, has refused to sit for questioning in the House impeachment inquiry. But he figured prominently at Tuesday’s hearing as House lawmakers delved into the internal White House alarm over Trump’s apparent effort to leverage congressionally approved military aid to Ukraine for assistance against a domestic political opponent.
On the Kiev of Destruction
From CBS News:
Washington — The diplomatic official who allegedly overheard President Trump ask about the status of “investigations” soon after his July phone call with the Ukrainian president is expected to appear before House lawmakers for a closed-door hearing on Friday.
David Holmes is the staffer referenced by diplomat Bill Taylor in testimony before the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday, three sources familiar with the matter tell CBS News. Holmes is a counselor for political affairs at the U.S. embassy in Kiev, according to the embassy’s website.
At the first public hearings of the impeachment inquiry, Taylor testified that a member of his staff, whom he did not name, was with U.S. Ambassador to the E.U. Gordon Sondland at a restaurant on July 26 when the ambassador placed a call to Mr. Trump.
