Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been sent a letter from Joseph Bondy, attorney to Lev Parnas, urging McConnell to allow his client to testify at the ongoing Senate impeachment trial of President Donald Trump.

“For the past several months we have diligently pursued an opportunity for Mr. Parnas to provide complete and truthful testimony to the Government and Congress regarding Mr. Parnas’s activities in connection with the efforts of President Trump to secure concessions from Ukraine, in exchange for American aid,” the letter continued.

Weekend Today anchor Kristen Welker pressed Pam Bondi, a member of President Donald Trump’s impeachment defense, on her and other Trump allies’ documented links to Lev Parnas.

“So now we have multiple pictures of President Trump with Lev Parnas, his family members with Lev Parnas, his top associates – you’re even in one of the photos.It also includes an electronic calendar entry of a breakfast meeting with President Trump just days before Parnas was arrested,” Welker noted Saturday, referring to a trove of information released about Parnas, who worked heavily with Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani in Ukraine and has provided new evidence to the House about the Ukraine scandal.

They’re just being polite. Ed MacMahon, a lawyer for Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas, who faces charges of campaign finance violations, has told the Daily Beast that his client helped Republican Rep. Devin Nunes arrange meetings meant to advance the Ukrainian investigations into the Biden family that are at the center of the ongoing impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

Now, another lawyer for Parnas — Joseph A. Bondy — has told CNN that Parnas is willing to testify before the House Intelligence Committee about Nunes’s involvement in the Ukraine scandal.

During today’s hearing in the House’s impeachment inquiry into President Trump, Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) referenced a POLITICO article from last month which reported that a lawyer who worked for Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee when Devin Nunes (R-CA) was the committee’s chairman, fed information on Ukraine to President Trump.

[While questioning former National Security Council official Fiona Hill, Swalwell asked]  if she ever heard the name of the recently indicted Rudy Giuliani associate, Lev Parnas, “who was influencing President Trump and Rudy Giuliani about some of the debunked conspiracy theories you referenced earlier.”

During the first break in Wednesday’s impeachment hearings—which featured U.S. Ambassador to the EU and million-dollar Trump donor Gordon Sondland implicating President Donald Trump in a quid pro quo with Ukraine—Fox News anchor Chris Wallace declared that Sondland “took out the bus and ran it over” President Donald Trump and a number of his allies and aides.

“I think what Gordon Sondland was trying to do here is protect himself more than he is to protect anybody else,” Wallace said during Fox News’ special coverage.

“To a certain degree, he took out the bus and ran over President Trump, Vice President Pence, Mike Pompeo, John Bolton, Rudy Giuliani, Mick Mulvaney,” he added. “He implicates all of them.”
