Fox Business host Lou Dobbs closed out his show by recounting a visit to the White House with superlatives approaching propaganda levels, praising the “sunshine” in the administration.
“A lot is happening in Washington and across this great country of ours. And it’s because we have a president who is a true leader. And I believe will be regarded as one of this country’s greatest presidents,” he said.

Employees at the Environmental Protection Agency were so worried that a fancy desk that their former boss Scott Pruitt had ordered for his office might contain high levels of a known carcinogen that they arranged to set it up in a warehouse and let it air out for a week.
The problem is that the same officials later blocked the release of a draft report prepared before President Donald Trump took office on the dangers of exposure to the same substance, formaldehyde, to the general public.

‘Repeal and Go Fuck Yourself’ Is in Full Effect
The Graham-Cassidy bill is earning the nickname.
Lindsey Graham has really good healthcare that he definitely won’t lose, even if the moral catastrophe he’s calling a “reform” bill passes the Senate. Graham has cosponsored an Obamacare Repeal and Replace Plan with the impressively mendacious Bill Cassidy and two other Republican heartthrobs. It is somehow worse than the previous plans.
The bill would usher a number of shocking cruelties into law, not least the possibility that as many as 32 million Americans could lose health coverage. That’s 10 percent of the population.
Newly installed EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt closely coordinated with major oil and gas companies, refiners and groups linked to the billionaire Koch brothers to combat environmental regulations during his time as Oklahoma attorney general, according to thousands of pages of e-mails released Wednesday.
The documents, released under court order to the Center for Media and Democracy, a nonprofit watchdog, follow a pitched battle over whether Pruitt should lead the Environmental Protection Agency, culminating in a narrow 52-46 vote Friday to confirm him.
From THINK PROGRESS GREEN:
The Koch brothers and the foundation they fund, Americans for Prosperity, are among the biggest backers of the right’s anti-environment movement, pushing for the repeal of environmental laws and regulations on both the state and federal level. Those efforts continued at AFP’s annual Defending the American Dream Summit this weekend, as attacks on the EPA came from seemingly every prominent speaker and in multiple panels.
Former pizza magnate Herman Cain (R) drew some of his largest cheers when he declared that the EPA “needs an attitude adjustment,” while former Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) decried the burden of federal regulations on job creation. But while Romney has insisted in the past that Republicans aren’t “anti-regulation” and other conservatives have insisted that the party doesn’t want to defund the EPA, Rep. Mike Pompeo (R-KS) — the Congressman from Koch — made it clear during an environmental panel that that was exactly his goal […]:

From First Read at MSNBC:
Herman Cain enthusiastically embraced the Koch brothers — saying he is their “brother from another mother” — just hours after facing a legal complaint challenging his campaign’s ties to a Koch brother affiliated non profit.
“Just so I can clarify this for the media, this may be a breaking news announcement for the media: I am the Koch brothers’ brother from another mother,” Cain said during a speech at the Americans for Prosperity gathering in Washington, D.C. “Yes. I’m their brother from another mother! And proud of it!”
What most people don’t know is that, when
Herb Hermie, Dave, and Chuck used sit around and talk about how they love the John Birch Society (like dear old dad) and Ayn Rand, they were known as Larry, Darryl, and their other brother Darryl.
This is what happens when you make a comment around me. This is the thread over at the Big Orange that started it all. Eventually, Jeff Y declared that
Herb Herman Koch Cain is:
The black Caribou Barbie
Of course, that reminded me of this old poster:
And that got me thinking that
Herb Hermie deserved his own action figure. Maybe he and Princess Sarah Palin will be hosting a show togther over at Faux News one day, and we don’t want Caribou Barbie’s doll to be lonely.
From Dave Wiegel at SLATE:
There are two contradictory rules in politics about how to handle an opponent’s embarrassing scandal.
Door Number One: Pile on. The guy’s not “under fire” unless there are flames on him. In the words of James Carville, “if he’s drowning, toss the sonuvabitch an anvil.”
Door Number Two: Back away. The guy’s on fire: You don’t want to get singed!
The choice that Cain’s opponents are making tells us a lot about how he can move past this. They’re all picking Door Number Two. Rick Santorum, in Iowa, isn’t talking about it. Ron Paul is explicitly saying he won’t go after Cain’s “character.” The Perry and Romney campaigns merely deny that the story came from them.
So who outed
Herb Herman Cain?
