Can you hear me now, comrade?

From Vox:

President Donald Trump has spoken regularly on an unsecured personal cellphone with his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani — and experts say it’s possible that Russia knows more about their efforts to compel Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden than congressional investigators do.

Someone is trying to make Lindsey Graham jealous!

From James Downie at the Washington Post (opinion):

A few weeks ago, I wrote about Sen. John Neely Kennedy (R-La.) showcasing the “typical shell game” of Republicans on impeachment: Eliminate the importance of the “quid pro quo,” muddy the waters of the president’s motive and distort the impeachment process itself. Since then, the senator from Louisiana has taken his pro-Trump spin to a new level: repeating Russian disinformation without a care.

On Sunday’s “Meet the Press,” Kennedy began his interview with host Chuck Todd with a mea culpa for recently misstating that Ukraine, not Russia, hacked Democratic National Committee computers in 2016. One would think such embarrassment would lead one to be more cautious in his claims about Russia, Ukraine and the 2016 election. Not so with Kennedy.

Stick it where the sun don’t shine!

From MEDIAITE:

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs closed out his show by recounting a visit to the White House with superlatives approaching propaganda levels, praising the “sunshine” in the administration.

“A lot is happening in Washington and across this great country of ours. And it’s because we have a president who is a true leader. And I believe will be regarded as one of this country’s greatest presidents,” he said.

Fox no longer guarding the hen…I mean, White House?

From The Wrap:

After a summer spent lashing out at his once-favorite network, President Donald Trump hit Fox News again Wednesday morning for what he called “terrible” coverage of Democrats, prompting response from at least one of the channel’s high-ranking anchors.

“The New FoxNews is letting millions of GREAT people down!” he wrote in a series of tweets that chastised the network’s on-air coverage of Democrats. “We have to start looking for a new News Outlet. Fox isn’t working for us anymore!”

Fox News has not issued a comment but senior political analyst Brit Hume wrote back, “Fox News isn’t supposed to work for you.”

It isn’t?

Twitler Über Alles

Washington (CNN) Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna [Romney] McDaniel is attempting to clarify a tweet she sent on Wednesday that warned anyone who does not supports President Donald Trump’s agenda “will be making a mistake.”

“Complacency is our enemy. Anyone that does not embrace the @realDonaldTrump agenda of making America great again will be making a mistake,” McDaniel tweeted Wednesday night.

The Revolution won’t be televised, but the propaganda will be!

From the Portland Press Herald:

Marc McCutcheon of South Portland was watching WGME’s evening newscast as he has for half a century when something came on that shocked him.

In the midst of the local news, a taped commentary from President Trump’s former special assistant Boris Epshteyn appeared on the screen, trumpeting the administration’s position with what he thought selective use and abuse of facts.

McCutcheon, a small-business owner and political independent, describes the experience as “surreal,” “extremely jarring” and “so out of place with the friendly, local broadcast from news people I’ve come to trust over the years.” There was no rebuttal, no context, no alternate point of view – a situation he found concerning.
